Specialist Logistics Manager

We are seeking a Specialist Logistics Manager to join our team in Alton, Hampshire.

This is a hybrid role — part desk-based, part hands-on in our warehouse — offering variety, responsibility, and the chance to work with technically challenging products.

Key Responsibilities
• Place purchase orders and process deliveries in and out using SAGE 200.
• Arrange couriers and transport for client projects.
• Manage call-offs from sites and ensure accurate supply.
• Carry out specialist technical packing, labelling and quality control of lighting packages.
• Maintain accurate stock and logistics records.
• Communicate with suppliers, couriers, and project teams.
• Occasionally attend site visits (driving licence preferred).

Essential Qualifications & Skills
• Minimum 5 GCSEs (A–C / 9–4) including Maths and English*.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a logistics, operations, or technical role.
• Strong IT skills (Excel, Outlook, SAGE or similar).
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• A technical mindset — comfortable interpreting detailed product or project information.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.

Desirable
• HND, Degree, or equivalent in logistics, supply chain, engineering, or related field.
• At least 2 A-Levels or AS-Levels (A–C) or equivalent vocational qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.

Working Hours & Benefits
• Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 4:30pm (with 45 minutes for lunch/breaks).
• 22 days annual holiday plus bank holidays. (typically 30 days holiday p.a.)
• Competitive salary: £29,000 – £36,000 depending on experience and skillset.

Xavio is a family-owned lighting design consultancy, established in 2011. As a market leader in lighting design for super-prime residential, luxury hospitality, and retail sectors, we work on prestigious projects including private residences, hotels, restaurants, and high-end retail. Our projects are based primarily in Central London and we collaborate closely with top architects and interior designers to deliver exceptional lighting schemes for our luxury projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create lighting presentations (Photoshop, PowerPoint, InDesign)
• Build and manage client relationships
• Prepare design documents across all RIBA stages
• Write lighting specifications
• Produce CAD lighting layouts and Dialux calculations
• Research and assess new products and samples
• Develop mock-ups and test concepts
• Generate technical drawings and diagrams
• Lead client, site, and design meetings
• Ensure your team delivers creative, world-class designs
• Review and give feedback on team members’ work
• Maintain accuracy and quality of all documentation
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors on design details
• Assist with BOQs and lighting quotations in Excel

Role Description
• Collaborate closely with the Design Director on lighting design across projects
• Support the development and training of junior designers and team members
• Contribute creative input to strengthen Xavio’s design quality and brand identity
• Uphold and elevate the studio’s high standards of workmanship
• Proactively identify and pursue new project opportunities
• Work collaboratively with clients and professional partners to drive growth
• Enjoy flexible working: up to 4 days remote per week (hybrid model)
• Role based out of Alton, Hampshire, with most of the design team in London and the Home Counties

Skills and Experience Required
• Minimum 2 years in a senior lighting designer role
• Passion for lighting and interiors, with an eye for emotional impact
• Strong design portfolio showcasing creativity and technical skill
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and AutoCAD
• Experience with Dialux, Revit, SketchUp, or 3D modelling (a plus)
• Excellent attention to detail; able to manage multiple projects
• Clear communicator with strong presentation skills
• Confident working independently and within a team
• Familiar with RIBA Construction Stages
• Experience on super-prime residential projects
