Special X - Lead Designer

Lighting Design

To work closely with the Special X project team to provide professional lighting design input on fast track or smaller scope projects, leading to the sale and procurement of light fittings.

Helping to enhance profit margins and profitability of the service using optional extra services and advanced research of product ranges not currently used by Xavio. Using talent, experience and creative gifts to further enhance our offering and brand.

To uphold the high Xavio standard of workmanship throughout the client experience, and further improve this constantly to maintain and grow our position as a world-class managed supplier.

To be constantly looking out for new project opportunities whilst working with other professional firms & Clients, to help fuel our onward growth of the Special X Team.

To design projects from concept process through to client presentations, where required, including product sourcing, procurement, installation, lighting commissioning/scene setting with specialist technicians.

To communicate regularly with each project team including attending site meetings with building contractors, architects, interior designers, engineers, technicians, builders, and suppliers.

The role will include working sometimes at the head office in Alton (Hampshire), and will also involve spending a lot of time on other Xavio sites and at client/architect offices.

The role will be across 5 days a week, with a negotiable 25 hour minimum or fulltime contract.

There may also be occasional short trips abroad should it be required for international projects.

Candidates must have 3-5 years of lighting design experience.

Intermediate Lighting Designer

Lighting Design

Due to constant growth, Xavio Design of Mayfair is looking to recruit an additional Intermediate Designer to join our busy global team.

The role is full-time and based part-time at our Alton Office and part-time WFH.

Applicants may apply with some or plenty of lighting design knowledge, although training will be offered via the Xavio Academy. Candidates should also be familiar with architectural and interior design layouts. The ideal candidate should have around 3 years of experience in the Lighting Design Industry working on hospitality or residential projects.

Candidates must have good CAD skills and exceptional attention to detail. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate a highly coordinated and communicative approach to team work, both internally and externally to our client teams.

Motivated team player and keen to learn new skills on our exciting fast-moving projects.
