Buckingham Palace Facade Lighting
The once-splendid facade lighting of Buckingham Palace has degenerated over time, and is definitely due for an upgrade. As a fun challenge within the Xavio studio, we decide to re-imagine the facade lighting so we built a 3D model of the palace (using Sketchup, V-Ray and Photoshop) which was rendered entirely in-house, including the painstaking addition of all window fenestration, pilasters and fluted columns for maximum reality.
We then added a new lighting scheme to the facade to enhance the impressive grandeur of this world-famous building, using 100% LED lightsources for maximum sustainability and with high UV protection in respect of the sensitive facade materials.
As a specialist in architectural lighting for Super-Prime residences and historic Listed buildings, Xavio would love to undertake the professional consultancy for the Buckingham Palace facade lighting refurbishment. We're looking forward to getting a call from the Royal Household asking us to take our pro bono concept forward into reality!
